LONDON — Taylor Swift may have skipped the Met Gala, but she’s making up for it with her own fashion moment on the European leg of her “The Eras Tour,” which kicked off in Nanterre, France, on Thursday night.
The singer-songwriter wore two custom Atelier Versace designs to open her tour featuring a double-breasted blazer embellished in crystals paired with a crystal embroidered bodysuit with bustier boning structure made out of orange sequins.
Swift will open each night wearing the pieces from the Italian luxury brand.
On the North American leg of the tour, she wore pieces from Oscar de la Renta, Alberta Ferretti, Nicole Felicia Couture, Roberto Cavalli, Zuhair Murad, Etro, Elie Saab and Jessica Jones.
“The Eras Tour” which began on March 17, 2023, in Glendale, Ariz., has since traveled through the U.S. and Mexico.
In August, Swift added 15 new dates in the U.S., bringing her total shows to 146 across five continents. The tour features a set list of 44 songs divided into 10 eras of her career.
Swift opened the first two opening days of the show in 2023 wearing a sequin blue and pink bodysuit from Atelier Versace paired with knee-high Christian Louboutin boots.
During the Las Vegas leg of the tour, she wore a silver sequin blazer dress from the Italian brand coordinated with matching sequin Louboutin boots that hit below the knee.
Sparkles have become a signature part of the singer’s aesthetic.
On TikTok, the singer’s fans have joined in by dressing up for each concert — #ErasTourLooks is trending on the social media app, where many users have bought sparkle-related outfits to attend Swift’s tour.
