Queen Letizia and King Felipe VI of Spain’s youngest daughter, Princess Infanta Sofía of Spain, paid sartorial homage to Spain’s soccer team during the Union of European Football Associations Championship match in Berlin on Sunday. Spain triumphed over England in the Euro final match, where both British and Spanish royals were in attendance.
For the occasion, 17-year-old Princess Sofía wore a flowing white button-down blouse with three-quarter-length sleeves and buttons running down the front placket. The teen royal also wore a pair of wide-leg red trousers, a potential sartorial homage to Spain’s team, whose uniforms feature red jerseys gilded in bright yellow details.
Princess Sofía also wore a pair of Carolina Herrera slingback shoes. Following Spain’s victory, Princess Sofía received a scarf with the same colors as Spain’s uniform, which perfectly complemented the royal’s ensemble.
Alongside Princess Sofía, King Felipe VI wore a tailored suit with a bright red tie to honor Spain’s soccer team. The two Spanish royals were seated near British royal family members Prince William and Prince George.
Princess Sofía’s outing with her father to the UEFA Euro 2024 final match in Berlin comes after the young royal joined her father and mother, alongside sister Princess Leonor for the Girona Awards in Barcelona on July 9.
For the event, the two princesses coordinated their looks to complement their mother’s attire, wearing white blouses with white trousers and jeans, along with beige wedges by Macarena Shoes. Queen Letizia’s ensemble featured a bespoke asymmetrical midi dress by Mango in a neutral tone and a pair of white sandal heels by Boss.
While Queen Letizia is known for her streamlined fashion with classic silhouettes and contemporary elements, her daughters appear to have a similar approach to fashion. Princess Sofía’s attire for the 2024 UEFA Euro final perfectly highlights how to fashion a look ideal for an event, while also keeping it youthful and adding a sartorial homage to honor the occasion.
