For the second time in two Euro tournaments, England is finding themselves just one win away from football “coming home.” But first, they’ll have to play one more match against Spain.
Spain punched their ticket to the finals in a 2-1 win over tournament favorites France that included a goal from Lamine Yamal — the 16-year-old who became the youngest goal scorer ever at the Euro, while England advanced after a nailbiter of a match against the Netherlands. Tied 1-1 after a penalty kick from Harry Kane in the 18th minute, the score didn’t change until Ollie Watkins scored the decisive game-winner at the 90th minute.
Since the Euro tournament doesn’t play a third-place match anymore, France and Netherlands go home as joint-third/fourth-place finishers.
The Spain vs. England final is set to air on FOX, but those without cable can stream it on DIRECTV Stream for free.
Kick-off for Spain vs. England is at 3 p.m. ET today, July 9.
In the United States, you can watch Spain vs. France on FOX. If you have cable, all you’ll have to do to is turn FOX on at 3:00 p.m. today or download the Fox Sports app and sign in with your cable log-in credentials.
If you want to tune into the Euro final without spending a dime, DIRECTV Stream offers a five-day free trial for new subscribers. When the trial is over, you’ll pay $79.99/month for over 90 live channels.
You can also watch the game with Sling TV’s Blue plan. It includes FOX, and right now, you can get your first month for 50% off. Instead of $45, you’ll pay $22.50 — and all you’ll need is one month of Sling to watch the entire tournament through the final match.
Spain and England will play at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, Germany.
