Germany v Denmark (20:00 BST)
There was talk that Germany striker Niclas Fullkrug could finally gets his first major tournament start today, but nope – the super sub will remain a sub.
The 31-year-old, who plays his club football here for Borussia Dortmund, scored the late equaliser against Switzerland to help Germany win the group.
He has scored four goals in six substitute appearances at major tournaments – but has yet to start at one.
His scoring record – six goals in 139 minutes – would see him bag 27 goals if he played every minute in a Euros or World Cup.
Among all European players to play at least 100 minutes at the World Cup and Euros combined, only Poland’s Ernst Wilimowski (one every 30 minutes) has a better minutes per goal ratio than Fullkrug (one every 35 minutes).
Wilimowski scored four goals at the 1938 World Cup, all in a 6-5 extra-time defeat by Brazil.
