There has been a major kit issue at Euro 2024 involving UEFA’s patches.
The showpiece in Germany has thrown up plenty of entertainment in the seven games so far, with 22 goals scored.
But fans have spotted a trend when it comes to the shirts countries have been wearing.
On the left sleeve, each team has been sporting the ‘UEFA Foundation’ logo – the charity of European football’s governing body which “aims to help children and safeguard their rights with sport, and football in particular”.
The patches are applied through heat but in a number of instances, it appears as though the logo has not been put on correctly.
In Italy’s game with Albania, the patch was hanging off the Adidas shirts worn by Gianluigi Donnarumma, Riccardo Calafiori and Davide Frattesi.

Calafiori appear to get it the worst, with the patch almost falling off completely following what Footy Headlines suggest could be as a result of the “heat-sealing not being applied for long enough”.
While some missed it, plenty of people made similar observations about the patch during multiple games.
One person wrote: “The heat press didn’t heat up I guess.”
A second commented: “Patch on Jorginho’s arm was coming off as well.”
A third also saw it, writing: “Honestly I noticed it on so many of both teams’ shirts in that game.”
Another user joked: “Must have ordered from DHGate.”
A fifth weighed in: “It happened in almost every shirt.”
It remains to be seen whether the issue will continue to occur in the next batch of fixtures.
The UEFA Foundation for Children have a number of projects taking place throughout Euro 2024, including providing match tickets for disadvantaged children.
As per UEFA, 1000 tickets have been made available for each of the ten host cities.
