Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino says he is “200% committed” to the job, but fans need to “trust” in what his team are doing.
The Blues have qualification for European football in their own hands heading into the final game of the season on Sunday.
Chelsea, who currently sit sixth in the league table, need one point in their home game against Bournemouth to secure a spot in the Uefa Conference League next campaign.
“Trust in the process, it is to trust in the team,” Pochettino said in his pre-match news conference.
“I think we feel a responsibility to deliver our job. We are 200% committed to deliver the best job for the club.”
Despite recent good form, an inconsistent season has led to question marks over the Argentinian’s future with the club.
However, Pochettino is not worried about the reception he will receive from the fans at the end of their final game at Stamford Bridge.
“After the game it’s natural, things happen, [it] will come, if not it’s not a problem. I’m going to show my respect to the fans. We always try to be very respectful,” he added.
“We understand very well in this business that the fans are the best things at a football club and they are entitled to give their opinions in different ways. You need to respect. We are here because of them.
“They [the fans] need to trust in us. The only way that they can trust in us is the results because the process and work we are doing inside is difficult for them to analyse because they don’t know what we are doing every single day.”
