Carrow Insurance, a newly launched Managing General Agent (MGA), has entered the European mid-market insurance sector under the leadership of Ronan Conboy, former CEO of AmTrust International.
The company specialises in Warranty, Accident & Health, and Income & Payment Protection products, delivered through a network of brokers and distribution partners.
Supported by A-rated capacity with partnership agreements lasting up to five years, Carrow aims to differentiate itself within the market. Plans are already in place to broaden its portfolio by adding new product lines in the coming year as part of its growth strategy.
Ronan Conboy, CEO of Carrow, said: “This new business will focus exclusively on addressing a significant gap in the Warranty, Accident & Health, Income & Payment Protection packaged products market, distributed through our broker and partner network.
“These sectors are ripe for disruption and innovation, particularly in today’s environment, where consistency and reliability are crucial. Our flat organisational structure enables quick decision-making and provides direct access to underwriters. We believe this approach will offer our brokers and partners significant advantages.”
Headquartered in Ireland, Carrow is equipped to operate in 27 European countries. The business benefits from long-term capacity support provided by Mission Underwriters through the Accelerant Risk Exchange.
Carrow places emphasis on fostering lasting partnerships and offering efficient, sustainable solutions. By adopting simplified, low-administration processes, maintaining consistent pricing, and providing clear policy documentation, the company prioritises direct access to decision-makers. This ensures swift and effective communication with brokers and distribution partners.
Adrian Morgan, CEO of Mission Underwriters, added: “Ronan is an accomplished C-suite insurance executive with over 25 years of industry experience and a track record of driving global transformations which will be invaluable to Carrow’s success. As our sixth MGA launch in the last twelve months, we’re providing backend support to enable Ronan and his team to focus on exceptional underwriting and partner service.”
The European Commission and Switzerland completed negotiations Friday on a broad package of agreements to deepen and expand the EU-Switzerland relationship.“T
