The North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC) to launch two new Volvo BS VI 9600 multi-axle ‘Ambari Utsav’ AC sleeper buses from Belagavi with key features that provide utmost comfort and safety to the passengers.
NWKRTC issued tenders in November 2023 for the procurement of four BS-6 multi-axle AC sleeper buses, totaling Rs 7.2 crore. Two of these buses were allocated to the Belagavi depot, while the other two were allocated to the Hubballi depot. The registration of the buses designated for Belagavi took place at the RTO ground in Auto Nagar, Belagavi on Saturday, 6th July.
NWKRTC’s Ambari Utsav Features :
The Ambari Utsav buses feature Volvo 9600 Sleeper Coaches with a unique Scandinavian design. The bus windows are specially designed to provide passengers with panoramic views. Each bus is equipped with 40 sleeping berths, each offering ample headroom, 2 USB ports, air vents, reading lights, and a mobile holder. Additionally, the drivers of these buses benefit from features such as Knee Impact Protection Technology, which enhances their safety in extreme situations by absorbing impact.
