Baden Sports, the sports equipment retailer, has been signed up as the official ball supplier of the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL), Germany’s top-tier competition, for the next four seasons.
The exclusive long-term agreement will begin from the 2024-25 campaign and run through 2027-28.
Baden Sports will replace the BBL’s long-standing ball partner Spalding, which had supplied the league since the 2007-2008 season.
The deal was brokered by Baden Sports’ distribution partner Uhlsport, the German sportswear manufacturer.
In addition to the official ball partnership for the BBL’s game operations, Baden Sports will provide customized ball merchandise for the clubs.
The partnership represents the US-based company’s first agreement with a European sports property.
