YEREVAN, JULY 8, ARMENPRESS. Armenian basketball teams of different ages begin to compete in the European Championships.
The Armenian women’s national team U16 entered Subgroup A of Division C of the European Championship in Gibraltar from July 9 to 14, where they will compete with the teams of Georgia, Azerbaijan and Cyprus.
Under the leadership of Albert Harutyunyan, women’s team went to Gibraltar.
The Armenian U16 men’s team will take part in the Division C matches of the European Championship in Albania from July 9 to 14.
The following players left for Albania, led by AregVatyan: Stepan Mavyan, Edgar Aghabekyan, Eduard Mnatsakanyan, Artur Avagyan, Nshan Keshishyan, Rafael Masumyan, Andrey Vognerubov, Vahe Apresyan, David Kakoyan, Bagrat Khachatryan, Gagik Harutyunyan.
The coaching staff also includes Tovmas Ordanyan and Sergey Avetisyan.
The U16 team was placed in subgroup B, where they will face the teams of Kosovo, Gibraltar and San Marino.
