All Nippon Airways (ANA) is adding three new routes to Europe from Tokyo’s Haneda Airport this upcoming winter season.

The Japanese carrier will launch new direct flights to Milan Malpensa (recently renamed to Malpensa-Silvio Berlusconi International Airport) from 3 December, 2024, as well as new routes to Stockholm Arlanda Airport from 31 January, 2025 and Istanbul Airport from 12 February, 2025.

Flights on each route will operate three times weekly, with tickets available from 22 July. Services to Milan will operate on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Flights to Stockholm will run on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, while connections between Tokyo and Istanbul will operate on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

ANA president and CEO, Shinichi Inoue, said: “These new routes reflect ANA’s commitment to meet the increasing demand for travel between Japan and each country.

“We hope this expansion provides our travellers with greater choice, new customer experiences and reinforces our commitment to a seamless and enjoyable journey.”

The carrier is also gearing up to resume its Haneda-Vienna service on 2 August after a four-year hiatus following the Covid-19 pandemic. Flights to Vienna will operate three times weekly on Boeing 787-9 aircraft. This is in addition to daily flights to Munich and Paris from Haneda airport.

In a statement, ANA said it expects its expanded European network “to further facilitate growth in bilateral exchanges and business demand”.
