For the first time in history, Manchester will host one of the music world’s most acclaimed awards ceremonies on Sunday night, with notable names travelling across the globe to be in attendance.Â
This year, the MTV Europe Music Awards is being hosted by fashion It-Girl and music maven Rita Ora. This will be the British-born musician’s third time hosting.Â
As per usual the night saw stars take to the red carpet in gilded gowns and tailored suiting ensembles, while inside the event, which took place at Manchester’s Co-op Live arena, guests will see performances from Raye, Shawn Mendes and Tyla.Â
From the hostess with the mostess Rita Ora to rising star Raye and Love Island Host Maya Jama, here are the very best dressed celebs who took to the MTV EMA 2024 red carpet.Â
As expected, the host for the evening Rita Ora went all out for her red carpet appearance, dressing in a dreamy plunging neck gown adorned with what looks to be blonde artificial hair from Ashi Studio’s FW24 Couture collection.
Maya Jama opted for an elegant look for the evening. Settling on a figure-hugging Versace black midi dress fixed with metal safety pin fixtures, a bustier neckline and a thigh-high slit.
Comedian Katherine Ryan chose a Christopher Kane SS17 RTW sheer detailed gown for the award ceremony. To accentuate the sculptural dress silhouette she scooped her long blonde locks into a high ponytail and added a selection of gold earrings.
Ahead of his performance on stage, Shawn Mendes took to the red carpet in a sleek black suiting look which he elevated with an unbuttoned collared shirt and set of leather loafers.
Sporting possibly the most divine dress we’ve seen all awards season, Jodie Turner-Smith made red carpet history in an electric blue draped one-shoulder gown, which came complete with matching long gloves and a sculptural headpiece.
Leomie Anderson looked phenomenal in a matching red and white crop top and mini skirt combo. The British model paired her risque look wit a set of red peep-toe heels and a voluminous side-parted hairstyle.
Mabel didn’t let the chilly November weather ruin her night. The singer sported a body-hugging long-sleeve tartan print dress with white tights and a strappy heel combo.
Opting for a Roberto Cavalli SS25 RTW blue and black-toned zebra print dress fixed with a fluffy asymmetrical hem, the South African singer looked radiant ahead of taking to the stage to perform at the event.
