Since returning from his loan move at Olympique de Marseille, William Saliba (23) has been indispensable at Arsenal, twice being included in the Premier League Team of the Season. At Euro 2024, he finally became invaluable for the France national team too. His consistency has now caught the eye of Real Madrid, according to a report from Foot Mercato.
The publication understands that the reigning UEFA Champions League champions hold an interest in Saliba, who has played 30 games for Arsenal this season. Whilst Real Madrid are not looking to immediately advance a deal to sign the defender, Foot Mercato does nonetheless understand that the club have made contact with the player’s entourage in order to ascertain their interest in making a move to the Bernabeu.
Saliba’s contract at Arsenal expires in 2027 and he is fully focused on the second half of the season with his club with the London-based side still in contention for silverware both in domestic and European competitions.
