Radiology AI startup deepc has closed its Series A with a $13 million extension round, bringing the company’s total funding to date to $30 million.
Founded in 2019, deepc helps radiology AI providers deploy their technologies in clinical settings through a single integration solution.
Through deepcOS, clinicians can access regulatory-approved AI solutions for more than 60 clinical indications, allowing healthcare providers to benefit from the rapid developments taking place within radiology AI without any of the technical, operational, or commercial complexity.
By giving AI developers low-friction access to deepc’s broad customer base and distribution network spanning over 30 countries, deepc is also helping accelerate the development of new AI solutions.
Today, deepc’s platform is used by leading organisations including Solothurn Hospital in Switzerland, the Vivantes Hospital Group and LMU University Hospital in Germany, CHU Brugmann (Brugmann University Hospital) in Belgium, as well as the National Health Service (NHS) in England.
Dr Franz Pfister, CEO and Co-Founder of deepc, said:
“At deepc, we believe that the potential for AI in healthcare will only be realised if we can bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI and clinical practice.
Our platform makes it easy for organisations to adopt the best AI technologies at pace and at scale, enabling faster, more accurate diagnoses and ultimately improving patient outcomes.”
Sofinnova Partners and Bertelsmann Investments co-led the round, with participation from new investors KHP Ventures and SwissHealth Ventures, alongside existing investor Winning Mindset Ventures.
Simon Turner, Partner at Sofinnova Partners, said:
“The influx of capital into AI is highlighting the importance of enabling technologies that drive adoption in healthcare. These enabling technologies are the focus of the Sofinnova Digital Medicine strategy, and an area that few have yet to command.
From the outset, we recognised deepc’s potential to revolutionise AI deployment in healthcare.”
The funding will accelerate Deeps’s growth and international expansion and further enhance and commercialise its industry-leading operating system. Key growth priorities include extending deepc’s presence in North America, further expanding in the UK, and doubling down on key European markets.
