Spain has emerged as the best destination for digital nomads, according to VisaGuide’s Digital Nomad Index for 2025. 

The ranking system was based on the following six determining factors: Internet speed, taxation policies and tax-free length, income requirements for visa applications, cost of living in euros, healthcare score and tourism popularity. 

The final score, called the ‘Digital Nomad Score,’ is based on a scale of 1 to 5. 

The top 10 countries, with their scores, are as follows:

3.Montenegro – 3,98 

4.Bahamas – 3,59 

5.Hungary – 3,51 

6.Canada – 3,43 

7.Romania – 3,21 

8.Portugal – 3,18 

9.Brazil – 3,17
