Norweigan Air has announced three new flight routes for its expanding airline.
The airline, which was founded in 1993, plans to launch a total of 17 new routes, with three from the UK.
This will bring a network of 344 routes to 128 destinations with the low-cost airline from summer 2025.
Norweigan Air will launch direct flights to Copenhagen, Riga, and Ålesund from the UK. It will also see new routes from Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and Latvia to more destinations across Europe.
Magnus Thome Maursund, commercial director at Norwegian said: “The summer holidays are something everyone looks forward to, and we’re thrilled to offer new and exciting destinations.
“From the UK, we are introducing direct routes to vibrant European cities. As the summer months are a busy travel period, we encourage customers to plan and book their holidays early to secure seats.
According to the airline’s website, “Norwegian currently operates 21 routes from the UK to 15 destinations in five countries, providing a wide range of options for travelers.”
Norwegian operates both summer and winter programs. The summer program runs from late March through October, while the current winter program includes 170 routes to 76 destinations.
Customers who are looking to book these new routes with the airline can do so now.
London Gatwick – Ålesund: Two weekly departures starting April 11.
London Gatwick – Riga: Two/three weekly departures starting March 30.
Newcastle – Copenhagen: Two weekly departures starting May 2.
It comes as British Airways has announced three new routes for summer 2025 including a stunning Italian destination.
From May 2025, the airline will introduce new flights to Rimini in Italy from London Heathrow, and Salerno which is located on the Amalfi Coast from London Gatwick.
Meanwhile, a new service from London City to Olbia (OLB) in Sardinia will complement existing flights from Heathrow.
