Belgian software company Karomia has secured €2M in a round led by Entourage, imec.start Future Fund & imec.start Fund to expand its AI-powered ESG reporting platform.
Karomia is a B2B SaaS platform that streamlines Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) compliance through AI-powered automation. By uploading key documents, companies can automatically generate comprehensive CSRD reports, significantly reducing manual effort.
The platform also facilitates Double Materiality Assessments by analysing company and scientific data, engaging stakeholders with multilingual surveys, and ensuring auditor-ready compliance with full traceability. This approach enables businesses to focus more on implementing impactful sustainability initiatives.
The insutry-agnostic platform currently has over 45 customers.
With the investment, Karomia will further refine its platform, making CSRD compliance even more accessible for companies of all sizes. This includes the much smaller SMEs which are following the different VSME standard. Beyond streamlining reporting, Karomia plans to expand its solutions to help businesses develop sustainability strategies.
“Our clients are often surprised to discover they already have much more CSRD information than they initially thought – it just needs to be extracted and organized,” commented Simon Hiel, CTO of Karomia.
