The 39-year-old star has been named in Portugal’s squad for the tournament by coach Roberto Martinez. His selection marks a historic milestone, as Ronaldo is appearing in his sixth European Championship, a record he now holds alone.

Ronaldo first played in the tournament in 2004 and won it in 2016, despite an early injury in the final. His inclusion in the squad means his participation in his 11th major international tournament at Euro 2024, which runs from June 14-July 14 in Germany.
