Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have had such a romantic European summer while Taylor was on a break from the European leg of the Eras Tour that the ultra-American celebrity couple is reportedly considering buying a vacation home in Italy. Let’s take a look at all the places that got them fantasizing about property abroad.
The couple has been photographed hanging out with Brittany and Patrick Mahomes in Amsterdam, indulging in the finest Parisian hospitality, and going on romantic boat rides in Lake Como. According to Galavante, the couple stayed at a full-service villa on Lake Como in May, and during her Paris shows, she stayed at the infamous Hôtel De Crillon, which has suites that get as expensive as $21,000 per night. During tour stops in the UK, Swift stayed at a cottage she rented out in Cotswold. While in Milan recently, Travis reportedly bought Taylor $75,000 worth of presents from famed Italian designers Valentino, Prada, Bottega Veneta, and Fendi.
This isn’t a very accessible itinerary—even the cheapest hotel room at Hôtel De Crillon starts at over 2,000 euros. But fortunately, if you are mapping out your own Swelce/Tayvis-inspired European tour, you can still access some versions of these very same experiences, but at normal people prices.
Let’s start in Lake Como. Assuming you can’t budget for a villa that costs around 20,000 euros per night, why not consider a romantic boat ride and late-night walk favored by Taylor and Travis? Here are some budget-friendly alternatives to enjoy the destination yourself. A ferry ride and a chance to explore private gardens cost $63. To get the total private boat experience, you can book a private speed boat tour for one or two hours, starting at $380.
While staying overnight in Lake Como might not be the most wallet-friendly option, consider splurging on a meal at one of the many high-end hotels dotting the lake’s shoreline. Grand Hotel Tremezzo, where Taylor reportedly rented a villa, has its own bars and restaurants on the property. You can make reservations through the website and enjoy the same views Tayvis has enjoyed.
Moving on to Paris, there are several ways to enjoy Hôtel De Crillon without booking out one of the very pricey hotel suites—one of which actually houses a sink owned by Marie Antoinette. This is a first-hand tip from my very own visit to the palatial property: Head to bar Les Ambassadeurs for an upscale cocktail in one of the most beautiful bars in Paris. These drinks won’t be cheap, but compared to a $ 2,000-a-night hotel room, it’s a bargain to experience the luxe environment. Plus, there’s a dress code, so it’s a great chance to dress up.
For Cotswold, you can take a full-day tour of the villages for just over $100 in a small group, or you can go fully immersive and book a night at one of the local inns and bespoke hotels. Wild Thyme & Honey and The Manor House will both give major Evermore vibes and put you in the same area as one of Taylor’s go-to UK stays.
As for the Milan designer shopping spree, I don’t have any cheat codes for luxury items. But there are ways you can learn more about the major Italian fashion houses while delighting in some branded treats as well. Milan Fashion Tour has been operating since 2009 and offers everything from personal shopping to tours and workshops. You might not be able to walk away with all of the designer bags Taylor’s got packed in a trunk somewhere, but you can walk away with a deeper knowledge and a behind-the-scenes look at how all of it came together.
Looking to hang out in some of Taylor’s favorite places, sans passport? We’ve also got a guide to all the NYC spots Taylor mentions in her song lyrics.
