The Ring General Gunther has had one of the best runs in the main roster of WWE. He holds the record for being the longest-reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion. Now, the Ring General is the reigning WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
Recently, while speaking to Metro.co.uk, Gunther mentioned that he believes WWE’s European expansion has just started.
“We’re just getting started,’ Gunther teased. ‘The whole European expansion, it’s not the last of it we’ve seen, I think there’s more to come. I’m excited and I’m happy that I was able to position myself as one of the front runners of representing the company in that respect.”
The Ring General was then asked about the possibility of him wrestling Uncle Howdy or feuding with the Wyatt Sicks. Gunther shared that he is open to wrestling anyone at any time.
“I have the confidence to say that I will thrive in every scenario that the company could put me in,” Gunther said.
Gunther also mentioned that he prefers wrestling stars whose wrestling style is the complete opposite of him and that his best work has been with such stars.
“I think especially when I think some of the… Some of the best matches I had, or some of the best promos I had were with people that are the complete opposite of me.”
Last night on Monday Night Raw, Gunther finally accepted Sami Zayn’s challenge for a match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Also, WWE teased a feud between Bron Breakker and Gunther.
