Bulgaria will continue its membership of 13 European consortia of research infrastructures. The caretaker Government Wednesday approved funding for the country’s membership fee for 2024, the cabinet press service reported.
The membership fulfills one of the objectives of the National Strategy for the Development of Scientific Research 2017-2030, to ensure access for Bulgarian scientists to state-of-the-art scientific facilities for conducting competitive research at a high international level. The European Research Infrastructure Consortium aims to facilitate the establishment and operation of research infrastructures of common European interest between EU and associated countries.
Bulgaria will continue its membership of the following European research infrastructures: Solution Structure of Tertiapin Determined Using Nuclear Magnetic Resonance and Distance Geometry (1TER), Common Language Resources and Technology Infrastructure, European Research Infrastructure Consortium for Observing the Ocean, EuroBioimaging, European Social Survey, European research infrastructure for biobanking, Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe, European infrastructure for translational medicine, Digital Research Infrastructure for Arts and Humanities, European Plate Observing System, Aerosol, Clouds, and Trace Gases Research Infrastructure, Infrastructure for Analysis and Experimentation on Ecosystems, LOw Frequency ARray (LOFAR), E-Science European Infrastructure For Biodiversity And Ecosystem Research.
