The NBA introduces individuals with different personalities to fans of all teams. During these players’ careers, many fans learn to like them on and off the court.
The NBA is one of the many leagues that allow for a lot of interactions between fans and players. As a result, many supporters of teams tend to grow a liking to certain players across the league. Unfortunately, an NBA fan-favorite is set to head overseas to continue his basketball journey elsewhere.
“Center Boban Marjanovic has reached an agreement with the EuroLeague team Fenerbahce after spending the past nine seasons in the NBA,” ESPN’s Tim MacMahon reported on Tuesday.
Marjanovic got his start in the NBA during the 2015 season with the San Antonio Spurs. In his nine-year career in the league, the Serbian averaged 5.5 points, 3.6 rebounds and 0.5 assists on 57.8% shooting from field goal range.
The 7-foot-4 Serbian started to become a joy for fans of the game to watch during his time with the Detroit Pistons and Los Angeles Clippers. Between his off-the-court videos with the team’s social media accounts and his friendship with former teammate Tobias Harris, the big man became easy to root for.
While it won’t be as easy for NBA fans to see him go, rest assured that many people will follow him during his basketball career overseas.
