MUNICH (Germany) – FIBA Europe President Jorge Garbajosa and FIBA Executive Director Europe Kamil Novak welcomed a delegation from the Serbian Basketball Federation (KSS) in Munich on Thursday.
The legendary head coach of the Serbian men’s national team, Svetislav Pesic, together with Nenad Krstic, KSS Vice-President in charge of men’s basketball, and Filip Sunturlic, KSS Vice-President Marketing & Finances, discussed various current issues with Mr. Garbajosa and Mr. Novak.
The meeting started with the FIBA Europe leadership providing the visiting delegation with an update on the latest developments in the European basketball landscape.
In addition to the Serbian national teams’ continued success on the court, the KSS is a prolific host of international tournaments and other FIBA events, so the agenda revolved around senior national team competitions, youth national team competitions and Serbia’s sustained excellence in achieving the goals of FIBA’s Women in Basketball strategic priority.
Both sides highlighted the exemplary collaboration between FIBA Europe and the Serbian Basketball Federation and possible ways to further enhance it on all levels in the year ahead.
