Journey to Europe, a two-part travel series, will premiere on Channel 9 this September, taking Australian audiences on a cultural adventure through five stunning European countries.
The series, produced in collaboration with the European Travel Commission (ETC) and Proud Nomads Production Company, explores Austria, Ireland, Italy, Monaco, and Switzerland, showcasing both iconic landmarks and lesser-known treasures.
Hosted by David Whitehill, the program offers a fresh look at Europe’s diverse landscapes and rich history, inspiring travellers with unique experiences, from the alpine beauty of Switzerland to Italy’s culinary delights and Austria’s vibrant cultural scene.
“Europe as a destination has so much to offer year-round, and it was great to work with the ETC Brussels team and member countries here in Australia to inspire prospective Australian holidaymakers to come and experience these destinations for themselves,” Chair of ETC’s Australia Sofia Hansson said.
“With multiple daily airline routes to Europe and so many authentic and immersive experiences to choose from, we anticipate the demand for Europe to continue and look forward to welcoming Australian visitors to our destinations.”
Airing on 28 September and 5 October the episodes will also be available for streaming on 9Now and on Singapore Airlines’ inflight entertainment.
As European travel continues to grow in popularity among Australians, with 5.4 million visits in 2023 alone, Journey to Europe is expected to inspire even more travellers to explore the continent’s hidden gems and timeless beauty.
