Josef Aschbacher lauds “record” launches in 2024 and Slovenia joining agency as 23rd member
“[Europe] is out of its launcher crisis,” according to Josef Aschbacher, director-general of the European Space Agency.
His assessment follows years in which European access to space was hampered by a lack of availability of its own launchers, in part due to technical problems with new models, and by a loss of access to Russian launchers due to the country’s invasion of Ukraine.
