easyJet flights from a major European city are to be scrapped at two UK airports.

Planes will no longer fly to Paris Orly from Bristol and Manchester from March 28.

Officials say they are focusing on their most popular routes.

Daily flights will still take customers to another airport in the French capital, which offers connections to other destinations in Europe and Africa.

UK Airline Schedule Analyst Sean M reported the terminations on X, and easyJet has now confirmed the news.

“Following a review of the routes, easyJet can confirm that from March 28, it will no longer operate flights from Paris Orly to Manchester and Bristol,” a spokesperson for the airline told the Sun.

“We concentrate our efforts on maintaining and developing routes which prove most popular with customers, focusing on offering routes with the greatest demand.

“We continue to serve our customers in Bristol and Manchester with daily flights to Paris Charles de Gaulle, offering connections to over 80 destinations from Bristol and 88 destinations from Manchester across Europe and North Africa.”

The average flight time from Manchester to Paris is reportedly one hour and 32 minutes.

Travellers can also fly to Paris from Heathrow in London, with an average flight time of one hour and 22 minutes.

Nearby are London Stansted and London City, which also fly planes to France.

Alternatively, from Birmingham, a flight takes 54 minutes on average.

Other options include Leeds, Bradford, Edinburgh and Belfast.

Recently, easyJet confirmed it is launching twice-weekly flights from Southampton to Paris on March 31.

This is the only route the airline will operate to Paris Orly this summer season.

Last month, bosses also confirmed that easyJet is scrapping several UK flights next year.

These will affect routes from London to Scotland and Northern Ireland.

It comes after the Government announced that Air Passenger Duty (APD) will increase in April 20266.

The rate will rise for short-haul economy flights by £2, for long-haul flights by £12 and for private jets by 50%.
