Budget hotel brand EasyHotel has announced plans for a new property close to Geneva airport as the company continues its European expansion.
The 141-room new-build hotel will be located just across the border in the French town of Ferney-Voltaire and is scheduled to open in early 2027. It will be the brand’s fourth location in France.
Features will include the serving of continental breakfast without any single-use plastics and parking for 60 cars, including electric vehicle charging points.
EasyHotel is planning a major expansion in Europe with six new hotels already in development and more potential deals “being explored”.
The company said it had secured a loan of €8.6 million from BRED Banque Populaire to finance the latest new property in France.
Karim Malak, CEO of easyHotel, added: “The new opening in Geneva is particularly exciting for us, as it not only strengthens our presence in a key international hub, but it builds upon our solid brand awareness with easyJet one of the leading airlines operating from Geneva.”
The brand currently has 49 hotels in Europe and it also has properties under construction in the Spanish cities of Barcelona, Valencia, Alicante and Madrid.
