Kelly Day, vp, Prime Video International, on Wednesday told the international team at Amazon’s Prime Video that Andrew Bennett will lead the Prime Video Europe teams from January, in addition to overseeing the global third-party device business development and partnerships team for Prime Video globally.
Bennett replaces Barry Furlong, vp, Prime Video Europe, who will be “moving on from his role in Prime Video by the end of the year,” the company said.
“To support (him) in his increased role as vp, Prime Video Europe & Global Business Development, he has elevated Sandhya Iyer to global head of distribution and partnerships for Prime Video, where she will lead business development, partner marketing, and the partner engineering team, globally,” the company said. “Iyer will oversee the strategic collaboration between Prime Video and 200-plus leading consumer electronics manufacturers and cable operators and the seamless integration of Prime Video into their systems.”
In an email to the Prime Video international team, Day said: “Andrew will bring his 12-plus years Prime Video experience working across content acquisition, partnerships and business development, marketing, and product/tech, to his expanded role leading our Prime Video teams in Europe. He will be moving to London to sit with our European Prime Video regional teams early next year.”
