WestJet says it’s expanding its direct flights out of St. John’s to Europe starting in the spring.
Commuters will now be able to catch direct flights from YYT to London-Gatwick four days a week, Dublin two days a week and Paris one day a week — meaning Newfoundland and Labrador will have direct access to Europe all week long.
Those flights begin in May and run until October.
Premier Andrew Furey said in a news release that the new flights will be a game changer for the province.
“These are connections we helped facilitate, connections that help create tremendous opportunities for our province,” he said.
