Stade de Reims have confirmed that their striker, Mohamed Daramy (22) has suffered a serious knee injury, which will keep him out of action for several months.
Daramy joined Reims from Ajax for a €12m fee back in the summer of 2023. In his first season with Les Stadistes, he played 27 times in all competitions, scoring five goals and registering six assists. So far this season, the former Ajax man has found himself on the periphery, making just two brief substitute appearances under new manager Luka Elsner, as he recovered from a knee injury.
However, despite rarely featuring, he was called up by the Denmark U21 side during the recent international break. It is there that he suffered another serious knee injury. The recent injury has required surgery, as confirmed by Reims, who also stated that their striker would be absent for several months.
Les Stadistes are currently sixth in Ligue 1 with 14 points from their first eight games.
