MoneyTransfers.com while carrying out a research gave a shocking revelation that the ratio of tourist to citizen in the beautiful country is near about 1:3.6, reported the Independent.
Right now, Austria is accepting nearabout 32 million international tourists each year whereas, the country itself has a mere population of only 9 million. As very famous European countries like Spain, Greece and many more are suffering with over tourism, Austria has emerged out at the top mostly because of its beautiful capital Vienna.
Apart from Vienna also, the other parts of the country are becoming majorly popular as well with Vienna recording a staggering 17.3 million overnight stay by the tourists during the last calendar year, reported the Board of Tourism in Austria. The Independent stated that Hallstatt which a picturesque small town covered with beautiful flora and slow clad mountains is hugely attracting tourists as well.

It has been in rumours that the town of Hallstatt has been a literary inspiration for Disney’s Frozen which constructed a barrier around the famous lake due to overcrowding last year which were later destructed after the orders of Mayor Alexander Scheutz.
Hallstatt is a World Heritage Site which is protected and funded by UNESCO is now facing a huge crisis due to the heavy increase in tourists and as a result the administration had to check the high number of tourists visiting the town while putting a cap on tour transports including buses and cars.
