With Euro 2024 now at the final stage, it’s been a tournament to forget for several big teams.
Only 16 of the nations who qualified for the group phase earned a place in the Round of 16, meaning several teams were heading home from Germany early before we reached the end of June.
With every team now having played their three group-stage matches, and the knockouts all but done, we now know England and Spain will contest the final.
Here’s a rundown of the teams knocked out of Euro 2024 so far.

Teams out of Euro 2024: Updated list of nations eliminated from UEFA European Championship
The 24-team format gives the Euros an initial round-robin phase of six groups of four. The top two in each section qualify automatically for the Round of 16, with the best four third-place teams making up the remaining sides in the first knockout phase.
From that point on, the tournament is a straight knockout competition, with 30 minutes of extra time and a penalty shootout if necessary after any game that is level at full-time.
Here are the teams to have been knocked out of Euro 2024 so far. The Sporting News will update this page as more nations are eliminated.
