This summer, UnionPay International has focused on enhancing UnionPay card acceptance at major European airports. At Frankfurt Airport, over 80% of merchants now accept UnionPay, while at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, the figure exceeds 90%. Convenient and Secure Payments
Airports are typically the first stop for outbound travelers, and UnionPay is dedicated to offering a secure and convenient payment experience. Major global hub airports now accept UnionPay cards at dining spots, duty-free shops, and entertainment venues, making it easier for travelers to pay for meals, gifts, and more.
Tourists arriving at their destinations can also withdraw local currency from ATMs that accept UnionPay cards, eliminating the need for pre-travel currency exchange. UnionPay cards and the UnionPay app can also be used at airport tax refund points for quick and easy tax refunds.
UnionPay International’s commitment extends beyond airport services. Over 60 international airlines’ websites and popular online travel agencies like Trip.com, Booking.com, and Klook.com now accept UnionPay cards for ticket purchases, simplifying travel arrangements for tourists.
