Uefa has said that police in Germany are investigating an incident that took place between stewards and a fan at the Euro 2024 match between Portugal and Slovenia in Frankfurt on Monday.
Footage has emerged from Portuguese outlet Record that shows stewards restraining two fans and kicking and punching one of them in a stadium tunnel.
“Uefa is aware of an incident which took place between stewards and a fan from the Portugal vs Slovenia match and condemns any violent behaviour,” said a statement from European football’s governing body.
“The incident in the video is now the subject of a police investigation.
“Uefa is not in a position to comment further until the investigation has been completed.”
