What will you be doing?
We are currently looking for a German-speaking market reporter to join our global Generation Fuels editorial team covering European electricity markets in London.
This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical, inquisitive, numerate and literate journalist to develop expertise in a rapidly evolving market as Europe strives to reach net-zero carbon emissions targets.
You will have a passion for understanding how complex systems work and will relish the prospect of developing your skills in a role that combines data-driven analysis with traditional relationship-based reporting.
Your role will include engaging with market participants, writing news articles and market analysis, as well as assessing prices. The environment is fast-paced but values careful thought. You will enjoy collaborative work with colleagues from a range of backgrounds, many located in Argus’ other offices around the globe.
There are opportunities to travel and attend industry events, and to develop networks/specific market knowledge, as well as to present at industry conferences and lead webinar sessions.
The role would be ideally suited to a curious self-starter with an interest in the energy industry, and who enjoys cultivating sources and writing market-moving stories.
In your first six months you will undergo intensive training to learn about the market you will cover and develop a range of soft and technical skills. Our training programme combines workshops and seminars with training in your team.
