Austrian superstar Janine Flock is having a season for the ages.
In addition to winning the last two races (in Winterberg and St. Moritz, respectively) and holding a comfortable 90-point lead ahead of Friday’s race, the 35-year-old broke Tina Hermann‘s record for most World Cup podium finishes with 40.
Flock is now just two strong runs away from earning her third Crystal Globe after previous successes in 2015 and 2021, but she will no doubt be seeking the European title, too; with 11 medals from the last 12 European Championships (including three gold medals in 2014, 2016, and 2019), Flock is the most successful athlete in the history of the competition.
