Nestled just a few hours from the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 biathlon venue, the snow-covered peaks of Martell-Val Martello are ready to welcome Europe’s top biathletes for the 2025 Biathlon European Championships, taking place from 29 January to 2 February.
This pre-Olympic season has already brought thrilling action to some of the sport’s most iconic stops: Kontiolahti, Hochfilzen, Annecy-Le Grand-Bornand, Oberhof, Ruhpolding, and the recent Olympic test event in Antholz-Anterselva. Now, the biathlon world descends on northern Italy once more, where Martell-Val Martello will host five days of intense competition.
With the Biathlon World Championships in Lenzerheide, Switzerland, fast approaching from 12-23 February, the European Championships offer athletes one final chance to sharpen their skills and stake their claim ahead of the biggest events of the season.
Individual competitions kick off on Wednesday, and the long-awaited gender-specific relays return on Sunday, a format last seen in 2015.
